Terms of Use

Last updated · 9 October 2026

Hints (“the App”) is provided by Vladyslav Kozlov, an individual developer based in Ukraine (“we”, “us”). Your use of the App is governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Standard EULA”), together with the terms below. If they conflict, the Standard EULA prevails.

Suggestions from Apple Intelligence

The App uses Apple Intelligence to organise what you write or say into gift hints, people, dates and facts. These suggestions can be wrong — a name matched to the wrong person, a date misread, a detail missed. Please review what the App proposes before you rely on it. The App organises the ideas you give it; it does not generate its own.

Apple Intelligence needs a supported iPhone with Apple Intelligence turned on. Private Cloud Compute needs a recent iOS version and may not always be available. When it isn’t, you can still add and edit everything yourself.

Your content

Your notes and everything derived from them belong to you. They are stored on your device and in your own iCloud account; we have no access to them unless you send us a report (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for keeping your own backups, for example by keeping iCloud enabled for the App.

Hints is for personal use. The notes you keep are about people in your life, so please treat what you record about them with care, and only send us a report about a note you are comfortable sharing.

Subscriptions

The App has no in-app purchases yet. Before subscriptions launch, we will add their terms here.

Beta versions

TestFlight builds are pre-release software. They may contain bugs, lose data, or change without notice. Please keep iCloud enabled and send feedback through TestFlight or by email to support@tryhints.app.

Liability

The App is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including a missed occasion or a forgotten gift idea. We remain liable for intent, gross negligence, and death or personal injury. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer law of your country.

Changes

We may update these terms; the “Last updated” date shows the current version.
